No Sweeps Week for TV

This isn’t exactly breaking news, but the Canadian Curling Association has walked away from a four year deal with CBC for televising curling events. If you live where I do, CBC is the extent of what we get as far as canadian television channels. CBC is threatening legal action, but it doesn’t look likely they’ll be covering any of the fun Tim Hortons sponsored events for quite some time. While I hope to get some relief through the Detroit Curling Club this fall, it’s looking like there will be no place but online to get my curling fix when the season gets going again.

Here’s a news article about it, from the news desk at CBC itself.

I hadn’t heard about the CBC dispute. Too bad.

However, I do look forward to you joining us at the Detroit Curling Club in the fall! It’s always a good time to start. ;)
